Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong has admitted that politicians always fooled the voters.
Tynsong’s own admission was during the NPP meeting held at Mawlai here yesterday to welcome former Mawlai MLA Embhahlang Syiemlieh to the party.
“We the MLAs including election candidates always made fools of the electorates and the electorates also get easily fooled by us. This is the problem. We fool them every five year and they got fooled by us every five year,” Tynsong said.
The comments by the deputy chief minister who is also the NPP national vice president has evoked a lot of reaction although it was the sad reality of politics in Meghalaya.
