The newly floated Voice of the People Party (VPP) has prepared the first list of candidates for the 2023 Assembly elections.
Seven candidates are in the list which is expected to be officially released in a day or two.
The candidates include NEHU teacher Dr. Ricky J. Syngkon who will contest from Umsning, St. Anthony’s College teacher Brightstar Marbaniang (Mawlai), Lady Keane College teacher Londoner Murphy Sohtun (North Shillong), theologian Aibandap L. Nonglait (Mylliem), former Presbyterian Church pastor Shanlang Warjri (Mairang), management professional Winston Tony Lyngdoh (Mawkynrew) and HSBC assistant manager Danny Langstieh (South Shillong).
