Three villages under the Ranikor C& RD Block under South West Khasi Hills district has expressed their desire to be tagged under Mawkyrwat C&RD Block citing distance as the reason.
Myntris of the three villages of Sarin, Nongkynbah and Nongpdengkenbah today met Deputy Commissioner, Caramai Kharkongor seeking her intervention into the matter.
Informing that the villages has a total population of 1581, the Myntris said that these villages are situated 25 kms from Mawkyrwat while they are being placed under the lookout of the Ranikor C&RD Block which is about 50 kms away.
