Ri Bhoi police have made arrangements for owners and drivers in the district to paste radium reflectors on their vehicles to reduce accidents.
Superintendent of Police has informed that radium reflector sand first aid boxes will be supplied till May 31.
Free services will be provided to ambulance, tractor trolley, school buses, government vehicles and two wheelers.
For four-wheelers the cost is Rs 50, Rs 100 for six-wheelers and Rs 200 for ten wheelers with first aid box.
“Fixing of radium reflector will help in curbing down accidents on roads. Therefore, all vehicle owners and drivers are requested to make use of this facility and strict compliance of the provision of Rules U/S 104, 138 and 138(4)( c) of Central Motor Rules-1989 is expected from the vehicle owner/drivers,” the SP said.
