Shillong, Feb 2: The East Khasi Hills Superintendent of Police Vivek Syiem has announced road diversions in Upper Shillong due to construction work on the Shillong-Dawki Road from February 3 to 18.
Trucks and commercial buses will be diverted at 5th Mile, heavy motor vehicles (HMVs) from Nongstoin/Mawngap will be diverted at Mawmaram junction and HMVs from Sohra/Pynursla will be diverted at 7th Mile. School buses will be exempt from the diversions.
In addition, a speed limit of 20kmph will be imposed in the 101 Area.
