The Regional Democratic Alliance (RDA), a coalition comprising the United Democratic Party (UDP) and the Hill State People’s Democratic Party (HSPDP), has initiated discussions for next year’s Lok Sabha and district council elections.
The RDA, which met today, has decided to fight the two elections together.
UDP president Metbah Lyngdoh informed that the RDA will meet again to decide on the Lok Sabha candidate.
Lyngdoh said that the RDA is trying to figure out a date on when they will meet since most members have decided for a day or two to finalise it.
“We would also like to also close the candidate for the RDA,” the UDP president said.
He said that the RDA is still in the process of consultation for their candidate.
