Shillong, Sep 11: The United Democratic Party (UDP) celebrated its 28th foundation day today by hoisting the party flag at its office in Shillong.
Party President Metbah Lyngdoh emphasised that the foundation day serves as a reminder to party members of their role and service to the people.
UDP General Secretary Titosstarwell Chyne highlighted that the party was formed on the principle of uniting regional parties and listening to the voices of the people of the state. He stressed that party members should not only take pride in being part of the UDP but also rededicate their time and energy to serving the people of the state.
Chyne reiterated the party’s core principles of promoting unity, clean government, development, and strengthening regionalism in the state. He also expressed his gratitude to party members, particularly the Shillong City Youth Wing, for organising the foundation day programme.
