Are Tura police planning to arrest State BJP vice president Bernard Marak once again?
According to sources, Marak has been named in the police FIR as one of the accomplices involved in the Tura violence on July 24.
It may be mentioned that a total of 47 have been arrested so far. Most of the arrested were accused of being members of BJP and Trinamool Congress.
Marak is an MDC of Tura. He had contested against Chief Minister Conrad Sangma in the February 27 Assembly elections from South Tura seat but lost.
Another political figure who was arrested in connection with the violence is Trinamool Congress leader Richard M. Marak who had fought against the chief minister in the Assembly polls.
Meanwhile, Richard is currently being treated at the Tura Civil Hospital after he suddenly fell ill while being in custody of the Tura police.
