In an inspiring accomplishment, Avishek Jaiswal, of Tura, who currently works as an Associate Project Manager for Kellogg Brown & Root (KBR) Engineering and Construction India Pvt Ltd in Pune has received the prestigious MTC Global Award in the category of “Outstanding Corporate Award for Management Consulting – 2021”.
MTC Global is a non-profit global think tank in higher education with a presence in over 30 countries. The organization confers an award to recognize excellence, contribution and impact made by individuals and organizations in academia and the corporate world.
Jaiswal will be conferred with the award next year in Bangalore where the MTC Global Headquarters is situated.
Talking about his award, Jaiswal dedicated the award to his parents and people of Garo Hills.
“I accept this honor with a deep sense of gratitude, and dedicate this to my people who have been the biggest support all these years. It will motivate me further to keep on working. Thirteen years ago I made a promise to myself that I will live and work in India only. In all these years I can say that God has been kind to me,” he said.
“It’s been a privilege to contribute in the safe and successful commissioning of two of India’s largest refinery projects – Essar Oil, Jamnagar Refinery in Gujarat and HPCL, Mittal Bathinda Refinery in Punjab and also work with different other refineries, both in India and abroad and in addressing their concerns,” said Jaiswal. “I am looking forward to the day for a chance to work and contribute in the development of our state and betterment of our people, in whatever humble way possible.”
Jaiswal is the eldest son of Parmanand Jaiswal and Puspa Jaiswal of Anandamath locality in Tura. An alumnus of Sherwood School Tura and Don Bosco College, Tura, he had completed his BTech in Chemical Engineering from Laxminarayan Institute of Technology, Nagpur in 2007 and Executive Management Programme from IIT Bombay.
He had earlier worked for several top notch multinational companies in oil and gas, specialty chemicals and technology licensors like Essar Oil (presently Nayara Energy), HPCL Mittal Energy Limited, Arkema and Haldor Topsoe India Pvt. Ltd.
He presently handles KBR’s global catalyst business portfolio, wherein he engages with global clientele from the refining and synthesis gas sectors in APAC, Middle East, Africa and European region including major Indian refineries like Indian Oil Corporation Ltd, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd etc.
