The BJP, Tura City District Committee (TCDC) has demanded expulsion of newly elected MDC to the GHADC from Barengapara, Pramod Koch for “corruption” and “anti-party activities” and threatened to resign en mass if the State President fails to do so.
The demand came in after Koch reportedly gave his endorsement to the NPP led Garo Hills Democratic Coalition (GHDC) to form the new EC in the GHADC. Koch is not reachable for a comment.
In a letter to State BJP President, Ernest Mawrie today, TCDC President Daulat Chada Marak said, “Koch had betrayed the A’chik people and we will not stop our voices unless and until he is expelled.”
Stating that his action is against the party principles and ideology, Marak said, “He had objected to our manifesto by joining other parties for the sake of money.”
