The Health and Wellness Centre at Tuber has been without electricity for around four months reportedly because its bill had not been paid.
Today the Jaiñtia National Council (JNC) visited the District Medical and Health Officer (DMHO) to inquire about the situation at the health centre.
According to the JNC, the government has not cleared the centre’s power bill, leading to the electricity being cut off.
The pressure group demanded that the lights be restored in order to allow the centre to better serve the patients that come there for treatment.
The DMHO reportedly assured the JNC that he will take up the matter with the higher authorities.
