The District Level Protection Cell for transgender individuals has been set up in West Khasi Hills, a notice informed today.
In view of this and in line with the Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Rules 2020, registration for obtaining a Transgender Certificate as part of the SMILE (Support for Marginalised Individuals for Livelihood and Enterprise) scheme can be made online on the national portal for transgender persons, https://transgender.dosje.gov.in/.
