A training programme on “Skill Development on Identified Bioinoculant Technologies and On Farm Mass Production Technology” was held at Mylliem Mawsawa in East Khasi Hill district yesterday.
Thirty-seven identified organic ginger growers from two blocks of West Garo Hills participated during the training programme which was attended by Central Agricultural University (CAU) College of Post-Graduate Studies Prof. Dwipendra Thakuria and Associate professor, Dr Pranab Dutta as resource persons.
During the training programme farmers were imparted training on cultivation practices of ginger, method of application of bio-inoculants (Biofertilizer and Biopesticides), and farm level mass production of bio-inoculants. Practical demonstration was also done on rhizome treatment with biofertilizer and biopesticide.
