Shillong, Sep 24: The Shillong Traffic Police has advised commuters to avoid unnecessary travel to Sohra on September 27 between 5 am and 12 noon, in view of the 4th Sohra International Half Marathon.
East Khasi HIlls Superintendent of Police Vivek Syiem informed that all vehicles traveling towards Sohra will be staggered at Umtyngar Bridge and other junctions from 5 am onwards until the marathon ends.
Emergency service vehicles will be allowed to operate and will be facilitated, he said.
