Meghalaya TMC has announced office bearers for Meghalaya Pradesh Mahila Trinamool Congress Committee with Selma D Shira as its president.
The women’s wing of the TM was constituted yesterday with 18 members.
Mehalin S Marak, Kathleen Marbaniang and June E Marak were appointed as the vice presidents. Merilline Ch Marak and Noorun Mehraj Warjri have been given the responsibilities to work as general secretaries in the committee.
“While the MDA government sits unperturbed over the issues pertaining to the women in the state, Meghalaya TMC and its women workers pledge to bring change to the collapsing system,” a press release from the party today said.
