The Meghalaya Pradesh Trinamool Congress today constituted its mahila committees in South West Garo Hills district and Ampati block.
The new office bearers were welcomed by Salmanpara MLA, Winnerson D Sangma and Mahila Pradesh Trinamool Congress president Selma D Shira.
Speaking at the programme Sangma said, “The overwhelming participation by people from all three constituencies of South West Garo Hills today is proof enough that people have lost faith in the MDA government. Under Dr. Mukul Sangma’s leadership, we will work harder for the people and bring the winds of change to Meghalaya.”
Shira congratulated the newly appointed office bearers and urged women across Meghalaya to join hands with TMC. She also stated that the party has become a credible alternative for the people of Meghalaya.
