Two villagers have submitted the complaint to the Executive Engineer of MeECL, Williamnagar, East Garo Hills District stating that NengsrangAdugre, Jingamgre and Patalgre villages have no electricity for the past five to six months.
Stating that the villagers have been remaining in the dark without light but, the complainants Balgra T. Sangma and Thinbirth T. Sangma from NengsrangAdugre said that no authority has taken any initiative to repair and to connect the electricity till date.
According to them, the area is the birth place of the present Chairman of GHADC Denang T. Sangma of NPP.
It is stated that the villagers have made lot of complaints to the Executive Engineer of MeECL with regards to the non-functioning of electricity supply to these villages but there was no positive response from the power corporation.
