C&RD Minister Hamletson Dohling today informed that the government has floated tenders and will allot the work orders for construction of block offices at Mawlai, Bhoirymbong, and Mawpat and three others in Garo Hills at Rs 2.5 crore for each block.
Speaking at a function to lay the foundation stone for the permanent block office Mawpat C&RD Block, he informed that 40 new block offices will be constructed at Rs 3 crore each to ease the public.
He stressed the importance of block offices where most of the central and state schemes are allotted for various developmental works and said they require a face-lift to offer good working conditions to officers, who will cater to the public.
