The long-awaited dream of a health facility for the people of Tasku, Ri-Bhoi, was realised today with the opening of a health sub-centre by Jirang MLA Sosthenes Sohtun.
In fact, the sub-centre had been functioning to a degree for the past two years but, with the formal inauguration today, locals are hopeful that even better treatment will be made available to the residents of the eight villages in the Tasku area.
Also present at today’s programme was Jirang MDC Victor Rani, chairman of the Synjuk ki Shiphew Shnong L Lapang, headmen, medical staff and locals.
