More than 400 students from various schools in East Jaiñtia hills district today participated in the talent identification programme conducted at Dkhiah East indoor hall.
The physical test conducted consists of 20M Sprint, 10M Ladder Run, Compass Drill, and Vertical Jump.
Organised by the Meghalaya State Olympic Association (MSOA) and Department of Sports and Youth Affairs the programme is implemented by Edge 10 Group.
Ian Cambell, the Australian Olympian who is supervising the programme said Edge 10 Group has conducted the talent identification testing across 10 districts of the State and they have seen promising results from both boys and girls from the age of 10 years and above. He also urged all the participants of the district to give their best to get great results.
MSOA working president, John F Kharshiing informed that the talent identification testing in Shillong will start from tomorrow till July 29.
Students who have not been able to participate in the testing held in their respective districts can also participate in Shillong with prior intimation to the Chairman of the Podium Finish Committee MSOA, Dipshon Ryntathiang, he said.
