In its continuing effort to help the poor and weaker sections of society, the ‘Shlem jingiarap ia kiba duk u Rupang’ today provided assistance, including blankets, warm clothes and utensils to eight households at a programme here.
Syiem of Hima Mylliem, Ainam Sing Syiem, was the chief guest on the occasion in the presence of Babu Kular Khongjirem, secretary of the committee, RM Shabong, Editor and Publisher of Rupang.
The beneficiaries were given assistance worth Rs 5,000 each.
The Syiem donated Rs 10,000 to the committee while Myntri Kharlukhi of Hima Mylliem donated Rs 1,000 each to eight beneficiaries.
