Two swimmers from South West Khasi Hills district will represent the State at the 48th National Aquatic Championship Junior Category to be held in Bhubaneswar, Odisha from July 16 to 20.
The South West Khasi Hills District Swimming Association held a send off function for the swimmers, Mebansan Sangma and James Anderson Kharlyngdoh today.
Association president H.S. Diengdoh said that though the district still lacks infrastructure to promote swimming he said through sheer hard work and dedication one can achieve success. “We have only the Photumnew, but we have many swimmers who are dedicated who will shine in the future,” he added.
