The Coordination Committee of Central Government Employees and Workers has extended its support to the striking postal employees of Meghalaya in particular and North East Postal Circle in general.
The postal employees of Meghalaya and North East today joined the one-day strike along with the rest of postal employees of the country to press for their 20-point charter of demands which include non-corporatisation of Postal Department, scrapping of NPS and restoration of OPS, five days of working days etc.
While terming the demands as genuine, the Coordination Committee of Central Government Employees and Workers also urged the Postal Department authorities to concede to the demands of the employees without further delay.
