The Employees PF Organisation (EPFO) has urged employees who are superannuating within three months, after attaining 58 years of age, to submit their pension claims at least two months before their retirement for the office to hand over pension papers.
In a statement here today, EPFO Regional PF Commissioner-II, KK Srivastava informed that the office is releasing pension on the date of superannuation as part of the ‘Prayaas’ initiative. The office is settling pension claims on priority and all death claims within seven days, he added.
Srivastava also underlined the various initiatives taken by the EPFO like the Jeevan Pramaan Patra (JPP). He said under the initiative, those who have done JPP after January, 2020 and those who have been issued with PPO in 2020 need not visit the office this year
He said more than three lakh CSC centres are authorized to do JPP as well as banks.
Furthermore, Srivastava said that the office is conducting bi-monthly webinars with those employees who are superannuating within three months along with their concerned officers of their establishment who are responsible for processing the claims.
