The Mawkyrwat Area Maxi Cab Owners & Drivers Association (MAMCO&DA) has decided to hike sumo fares from Shillong to Mawkyrwat and vice versa to Rs 150 per passenger.
The decision was taken at a general meeting held yesterday taking into consideration the hike in fuel, taxes and other matters related to vehicle documents.
Secretary of the association, ka Y.G. Lyngdoh said that the new fare will come into effect from today and urged passengers to support the decision.
