Fourteen students who graduated since 2016 are yet to receive their mark certificates.
This was revealed by the GSU and AAYF of Dainadubi in North Garo Hills who have questioned the college as well as education authorities on the lapse.
The NGOs stated that they had discussed the matter with the authorities of Mendipathar College, where the students completed their studies from, asking them on the status of the results.
“A total of 14 students have complained that despite having cleared their final year examination, they are yet to get their result sheets since 2016. All of them have completed six semesters and deserved the appropriate certificate,” the NGOs said.
Hitting out at the display of negligence, the NGOs questioned as to how such a mess could have been made and sought the pinpointing of responsibility.
“Who was responsible for this mess? Was it NEHU or the Mendipathar College authorities or even the students? Their irresponsible act has deprived of the students who have a future ahead of them,” they said.
They also urged authorities of NEHU to do the needful for the students so that no one should suffer from such negligence.
