Four batches of students who were on a science exposure trip returned home after an enriching journey to Kolkata, Chennai and Bengaluru.
Altogether 146 students were part of the trip.
The trip was organised by the State Council of Science, Technology & Environment (SCSTE) to foster a culture of innovation and scientific temperament among the youth while empowering educators to bring experiential learning into classrooms.
The science exposure trip designed to inspire and enhance the scientific curiosity of students and teachers aims to provide participants with hands-on learning experiences and exposure to cutting-edge scientific research and innovation across India’s leading scientific institutions.
In Kolkata, the students visited the Science City, Victoria Memorial, Rail Museum, Botanical Garden, Indian Museum. The second batch of students visited IIT Madras, Periyar Science Centre, Anna Library, Arun Ice Cream Manufacturing Industry, ICAR, Marine Life Research at Marina Beach in Chennai.
In Bengaluru the students visited Centre for Brain Research (IISc), KSCST Centre for Sustainable Technologies (IISc), HAL Heritage Centre and Aerospace Museum, Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum, and lives cience demonstrations by IISc research scholars.
The fourth batch of the trip was featured in a Tamil Nadu newspaper, reflecting the impact and recognition of the educational endeavour.
