Fun-O-Rama 2.0, organised by Martin Luther Christian University (MLCU), showcased a vibrant blend of creativity and innovation today mixed with a serious side – pitching ideas to PRIME, the Meghalaya government’s entrepreneurship promotion initiative.
The event was organised by the office of the Dean of Students in collaboration with the Centre for Innovation & Incubation of Startups.
The event brought together students, faculty and guests for a day filled with engaging activities and performances. A captivating performance by the Department of Music began the activities and the inaugural speech was delivered by Prof TK Kharbamon, the MLCU Vice-Chancellor.
Outside the main hall, the Centre for Innovation & Incubation of Startups hosted a pitching competition, providing students with a platform to showcase their entrepreneurial ideas.
The event continued with the eagerly anticipated cosplay contest, where participants showcased their creativity and craftsmanship. Winners of the event were Della K Nongspung in first place, Daryll N Warjri in second and Pynshngain Lyngkhoi taking third. Walana Ika Ksoo won the People’s Choice award, Michael Ngamlal Mounmate the Best Craftmanship award and Zion Syiem for Best Performance.
The winner of the pitching competition was J Ashita from the Department of Psychology. Amandame Lywait from the Department of Environment and Traditional Ecosystems took second and Gideon Zion Swer from the Department of IT third.
