Assembly Speaker, Metbah Lyngdoh today said that the new idea to celebrate the festival of examinations or the Pariksha Parv 4.0 is ideal as students can remove the stress and anxiety of examinations.
Speaking at the state level cum sensitisation orientation programme on Pariksha Parv 4.0 organised by the State Commission for Protection of Child Rights in collaboration with the Asia Foundation and New India Junction at the State Convention Centre here today, the speaker lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the initiative.
Lyngdoh said professional role is vital in undertaking tests, observation and writing skills of students, which will go a long way in reducing their stress. He urged upon the teacher’s community to help the children to become mentally stronger and enable them to take their responsibility and become better citizens of the future.
The Speaker also urged upon everyone to become champions of child rights and also learn more about it.
Pariksha Parv 4.0 is an initiative of the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights. Under it, students will get counselling from consultants from the state training departments and people related to the district psychological well being programme. Covid affected kids, college students of residential colleges and bodily challenged college students can be given ‘Exam Warrior’ books, to assist them address exam-related stress. Students will be capable to work together with consultants to scale back the nervousness that will increase within the exam and outcome season.
During the programme, the speaker and social welfare minister, Kyrmen Shylla distributed the “Exam Warriors”, a book authored by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the school students.
SCPCR chairperson Iamon M Syiem, Rupali Banerjee Singh, Member Secretary NCPCR, Dr Sujatha Sathpathy, Professor, Clinical Psychology, Department of Psychiatry, AIIMS New Delhi, Dr Jyotsna Bharadwaj, Faculty for Diploma in Guidance and Counselling course, Department of Educational Psychology and Foundations of education, NCERT among others were present at the programme.
