Party workers of the Meghalaya BJP today attended the virtual meet addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on self-reliant economy (Aatmanirbhar Arthavyavastha) and Budget 2022 today.
The telecast was organised at BJP State party pffice, which was attended by BJP State President, Ernest Mawrie, state office bearers, state and district executive members and other karyakartas.
A similar programme was also organised at Tura and Nongpoh which was attended by senior party leaders and other karyakartas.
Modi spoke on self-reliant economy, need for focus on farming, GDP growth, rise in public investment in the last seven years which will help promote FDI and create modern infrastructure in the country, and the huge rise in exports which is imperative to build a New India on foundation of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
While speaking on the vision behind Budget 2022, Modi said that it is imperative to take the country forward at a rapid pace by strengthening our economy.
He highlighted amongst others on basic amenities provided in the budget for all, more particularly for the poor, the middle class and the youth and tax benefits for start-ups. He said that the people friendly, progressive budget is full of possibilities for infrastructure investment, growth and jobs.
