The National Career Service Centre for SC/STs in Jowai, functioning under the Union Ministry of Labour and Employment (Directorate General of Employment), announced the commencement of its free one year stipendiary training programmes for eligible Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates.
These programmes are aimed at preparing candidates for competitive examinations for clerical-grade posts conducted by various recruitment agencies. The training will begin on July 1, 2025.
The centre will offer three distinct training programmes: one year special coaching in shorthand, one year ‘O’ level computer training and computer hardware maintenance (CHM) training.
All courses are provided free of cost, and each selected candidate will be entitled to a monthly stipend of Rs 1,000 along with free study materials for the entire duration of the training.
To be eligible, applicants must belong to the SC/ST community, be registered with an Employment Exchange and possess a minimum educational qualification of higher secondary pass or above.
The age of applicants must be between 18 and 30 as on July 1, 2025 and their annual family income should not exceed Rs 3 lakh.
Interested candidates may apply for the training programmes on or before June 15, 2025. Applications can be submitted online through the official National Career Service portal at www.ncs.gov.in or offline by collecting and submitting a free application form from the Centre during office hours between 10am and 5pm.
