Shillong, Sep 12: St. Edmund’s School represented by Haniel Majaw and Maanvik Agarwal were adjudged winners of the inter-school quiz competition, ‘Brainstorm 2025’.
Seven Set Annex Higher Secondary School represented by Danzel Steven Kharmujai, LalvanngaiLhouvum and B.K. Bajoria School, represented by Saket Mishra and Ryanel Cayden Khongji, were declared the first and second runners up respectively.
Organised yesterday by the Co-Curricular and Academic Development Committee of Shillong College in collaboration with the Shillong Quizzing Society and sponsored by the Meghalaya Institute of Governance, the competition aimed to foster knowledge, critical thinking, and teamwork among young students.
Altogether 22 schools across the region participated in the event. Five teams advanced to the final round after a preliminary selection process.
The quiz competition was designed to test participants’ knowledge across diverse fields, including general knowledge, science, history, and current affairs, while promoting healthy competition and camaraderie.
The event was attended by Aibanshngain Swer, Director of the Meghalaya Institute of Governance as guest. In his address he emphasised the importance of intellectual curiosity and the role of such platforms in nurturing young minds.
