St Anthony’s College, Shillong, celebrated its graduation day for 2023 today.
Prof Sanjeeb Kakoty of IIM Shillong was the chief guest and delivered the keynote address.
The college recognised and celebrated the outstanding academic achievements of its students by presenting awards to 136 rank holders who have excelled in their respective fields of study.
Furthermore, the institution acknowledged 23 subject toppers, across 28 or more disciplines, encompassing both undergraduate and postgraduate studies. The college also celebrated the accomplishments of its dedicated faculty, nine of whom successfully completed their PhDs, marking a significant milestone in their academic journeys.
The programme took a moment to recognise and appreciate the dedication of staff members who completed 25 years of service to the institution, underscoring their unwavering commitment to the college’s mission and values.
Kakoty emphasised the pivotal role of today’s youth in addressing pressing global issues, such as climate change and pursuing sustainable development goals. He encouraged the graduating students to channel their knowledge, skills and passion towards creating a more sustainable and equitable future for all.
