Shillong, Apr 10: Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma today felicitated students who topped the Secondary School Leaving Certificate Examination from Khasi and Jaintia Hills region at a programme held in his residence.
Education Minister Lakhmen Rymbui and Commissioner & Secretary Vijay Kumar Mantri, parents, teachers and officials from the Education department attended the programme.
During the felicitation, Sangma emphasised the importance of education in shaping the future of the state. He expressed hope that these successful students would serve as role models for their peers and inspire others to achieve similar levels of success.
He also informed that a similar program to felicitate the toppers from Garo Hills will be held on 18th April 2026 in Tura.
