SSA school teachers in Garo Hills will hold a mass rally to protest against non-payment of their five months pending dues.
The teachers under the banner of the All Garo Hills SSA School Teachers’ Association (AGHSSASTA-CB) in a meeting held yesterday in Tura dwelt at length on the government’s failure to release their salary from February 2022.
A statement from the association said that the rally will be held on July 20 to also raise non-payment of their eight months pending arrears, enhancement of salary and regularisation of services.
The teachers said the government should clear their pending dues and will not settle on the two or three months salary.
