As part of its non-cooperation movement with the government, SSA teachers in Thadlaskein block of West Jaiñtia Hills today boycotted the meeting-cum-training session under the Midday Meal Scheme, organised by the Office of the Sub-Divisional School Education Officer in Jowai.
The teachers under Laskein block in the same district have also decided to boycott the meeting-cum-training session on the same subject tomorrow at Raliang.
SSA teachers have resolved not to cooperate with the state government on Swacch Bharat activities, Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav programmes, awareness programmes, tree plantation drives, election duty, Covid awareness duty or other activities not linked to education.
The teachers have resorted to such a move over the months-long delay in paying their salaries.
