Nongpoh, Sep 27: Leaders of the NPP Jirang Block today felicitated Jirang MLA and MDC Sosthenes Sohtun, who was inducted into the cabinet.
During the felicitation, the leaders urged Sohtun to continue his dedicated service, not only for the people of Jirang Constituency but also for Ri Bhoi District and the State as a whole.
At the programme, party leaders highlighted that Sohtun has rendered remarkable service to the people of Jirang, bringing visible transformation to villages and localities ever since he was elected as their representative.
The event, held at the Dorbar Hall of New Jirang village, was attended by NPP leaders from both Jirang Block and Ri Bhoi District, including Balawan Syiemiong, General Secretary of NPP Jirang Block; Lurshai Kharnaior, General Secretary of NPP Ri Bhoi; members of the NPYF, Mahila NPP, village leaders, and several prominent citizens of Ri Bhoi.
In his address, Sohtun expressed his gratitude for the felicitation and assured the gathering that he would continue to serve diligently, extending his efforts beyond Jirang to benefit the entire Ri Bhoi District and the State.
