Shillong, Sep 14: The Additional Deputy Commissioner in charge of Sohra civil sub-division, has informed that several roads around Sohra will be closed in the morning on September 27 for the safe conduct of the 4th Sohra International Half Marathon 2025.
The roads to be affected are the routes from Mawkdok towards Sohra, Mawkma towards Shillong-Sohra road, Laitmawsiang-Laitryngew road towards Shillong-Sohra road, Dainthlen junction, Khliehshnong, Sohra towards Shillong-Sohra road, Laitkynsew-Sohra road via Mawmluh and Lad Sohbar-Sohra road.
These roads will be closed to all vehicular traffic from 5am to 9:30am. All travellers, tourists and members of the general public intending to travel on that day have been advised to plan their itinerary accordingly to avoid inconvenience. However, all emergency vehicles such as ambulances, fire tenders, etc, are exempt from the restriction.
