While NPP has fielded Samlin Malngiang, the other candidates from the ruling alliance included Synshar Lyngdoh Thabah (UDP), Seraph Eric Kharbuki (BJP) and Sandondor Ryntathiang (HSPDP).
From the opposition parties, the candidates are S Osborne Kharjana of Congress and Stodingstar Thabah of Trinamool Congress.
