Shillong, Feb 5: Property taxpayers under the Shillong Municipal Board (SMB) will now face less of a chore in paying their dues after the SMB opened an online portal to streamline the process and save time.
Taxpayers can access the service through smb.gov.in or they can scan the QR code printed on the tax bills served by the SMB. Payment can be made through debit/credit card, netbanking or UPI. Card payments may incur an additional fee, though UPI payments are free from such charges.
This was informed by the SMB CEO through a notification today.
