A skill development training of organic ginger growers of Thadnongiaw village in Bhoirymbong area of Ri-Bhoi district was held on February 18.
The training was conducted on bioinoculants (biofertilisers, biopesticides and biofortified composts) and its on-farm mass production technology besides inputs distribution.
Prof. Dwipendra Thakuria and Dr. Pranab Dutta, Associate Professor from College of Post Graduate Studies in Agricultural Sciences, Umiam acted as resource persons at the training.
The programme was jointly organised by the College of Post Graduate Studies in Agricultural Sciences, Umiam, ICAR-National Bureau of Agriculturally Important Microorganism, Mau, Uttar Pradesh and Department of Biotechnology, Government of India.
