In its continued drive against illicit liquor, the Excise Department staff of East Khasi Hills conducted raids in restaurants and stall sin the town and its outskirts where nine cases were uncovered in June, wherein indigenous liquour totalling 53 litres and 5.840 litres IMFL were seized.
Six persons were arrested in connection with these cases under the Excise Act, a press released informed today.
