The closing ceremony of the 25th anniversary celebration of the Rangjadong Sports Club was held on December 31.
MLA of Ranikor Constituency, Pius Marweiñ was the chief guest at the occasion while Man Study Nongrem, former MDC of Langrin Constituency was the guest of honour.
Marweiñ, during the programme, announced that a sum of Rs 2.5 lakh has been earmarked for the Rangjadong Sports Club, for the year 2020 for the renovation of the play ground.
Meanwhile, Nongrem stressed that sports keep the mind, body healthy and strong, and keep the youth away from harmful and bad habits.
Other who spoke at the occasion include Vice President of the Mawkyrwat District Sports Association (MDSA), K L Lyngdoh, President of Volleyball Association, South West Khasi Hills District Elevenson Wanniang, and S Ramsiej, Chairman of the Silver Jubilee Committee among others.
