Jowai, Aug 28: Voice of the People Party (VPP) MDC Andrew Shullai has stated that there is lack of coordination between the Meghalaya Public Service Commission (MPSC) and the District Selection Committee (DSC) in holding recruitment examinations.
The (DSC) will hold the examination for the post of Gram Sevaks and Gram Sevikas on September 13. This date coincides with another examination for the post of Junior Cooperative Officer under the Cooperation Department and Soil and Water Conservation Ranger (Overseer/Draughtsman-I) to be conducted by the MPSC.
Shullai today met with West Jaintia Hills Deputy Commissioner Abhinav Kumar Singh with the concern. He said when both the DSC and MPSC are housed under the same building at the DC’s office in Jowai, scheduling the recruitment examinations under the same date shows that there is a lack of coordination between the two.
He said aspiring candidates are graduates and if the examination date is not changed it will deprive candidates of competing in both the examinations.
