BJP legislator Sanbor Shullai today expressed disappointment that he was not kept in the loop about the recent corruption charges brought up by his party against the two district councils of the State.
“I was never consulted or invited for a talk or any discussion on various issues of the party and about the corruption charges against the GHADC and JHADC I came to learn about it from the media,” he told Highland Post.
Shullai said his president Ernest Mawrie never consulted him on any issue.
While supporting his party on its main agenda of eradicating corruption the only reason for Shullai was he was not privy to issues.
“The fact that we are in the same government, Mawrie should have consulted us accordingly and the best we could have done is meet and apprised the Chief Minister about all the issues,” he said, adding “It is clear that Mawrie and few of his friends had taken up all the issues in their capacity.”
Shullai also said that he was never invited to the programme organised by the party to celebrate the 70th Birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“I was sidelined even on this occasion and it is impossible to say that they had forgotten to invite me,” he said.
