Shillong, Mar 28: The Shillong South constituency received two development projects worth about Rs 4.09 crore.
These schemes include the construction of Dorbar Hall-cum-Cultural Centres for the Dorbar Shnong of Kynjat Football, Lumparing, and Madan Laban–Riat Laban.
The Dorbar Hall-cum-Cultural Centre at Kynjat Football has been allocated Rs 2.05 crore and Rs 2.03 crore for Madan Laban–Riat Laban. These centres will include community halls, offices for youth and women’s groups, shnong administrative offices, sports clubs, and other facilities for public use by residents of the localities.
Cabinet Minister and local MLA Sanbor Shullai laid the foundation stones and handed over the work orders today to the dorbar shnong to officially commence construction of both projects.
