Aiti Belti Trattoria has been named Best Family Restaurant in Meghalaya at the 7th Food and Hospitality Awards 2023.
The event was held on August 1 in New Delhi, organised by Merit Awards Market Research Pvt Ltd.
Around 40 restaurants throughout India were recipients of different awards on the evening, which was graced by renowned Indian chef Sanjeev Kaporr and a host of food and beverage industry officials.
Trattoria, in Khyndailad, serves up local Khasi cuisine. The award was received by Balawanpynskhem Suting, popularly known as Bah Richie. Trattoria was one of two restaurants from the North East that were recognised at the awards, the other being Khorikaa for Best Assamese Cuisine.
The awards position themselves as the pinnacle of achievement for the food and hospitality sector, where restaurants across different categories in the segment, food service players, chefs, food-tech brands and service suppliers were selected on various parameters such as the hospitality services, restaurant menu, service quality, restaurant amenities, restaurant ambience, guest reviews, food taste and other elements of excellence.
The winners of the awards showcased their unique selling points, achievements and innovations in their respective sectors to have achieved the honour.
