The first edition of the ‘Multiverse 2024 Cosplay’ event will be held at Anton Hall, Don Bosco here for cosplayers to showcase their meticulous craftsmanship and embody their favourite characters from various fandoms on March 2.
The team led by Reuben Hnamte also known as ‘Wonderboy’ within the cosplay community, said the day will be filled with excitement, creativity, and camaraderie, bringing together cosplayers and like-minded individuals from across the region.
The event that promises to cater to all fans of all ages and interests will also feature engaging activities including quizzes, drawing competitions, interactive game sessions, and others.
“What sets Multiverse 2024 apart is its dedication to fostering a sense of inclusivity and community spirit. It is a day to revel in the joy of cosplay, surrounded by fellow enthusiasts and inspired by the heroes of our childhood,” the organisers in a press release said.
A variety of themed stalls with anime merchandise, accessories, and delectable treats will also feature at the event.
The organisers said gates will open at 12 pm and the competition will begin at 1 pm followed by costume inspections by a panel of judges.
Entry to the event has been priced at Rs 100 per person, with complimentary entry for children under the age of eight.
