The Shillong College Alumni Association (SCAA) today handed financial assistance of Rs 2 lakhs to be included in the College Assistance Programme.
The association led by its president, B.M. Shylla, former Managing Director of MIDC and general secretary, P.H.Shylla and executive committee members handed over the cheque to the principal of the college, E. Kharkongor at a simple ceremony in the college conference room.
The ceremony was also attended by the vice principal, KD Roy and members of the teaching staff.
As part of its social outreach programme, the SCAA also donated relief material to the Mercy Home for elderly run by the Sisters of Charity at Demthring, Shillong today.
