The executive committee of the Seng Kur Shylla has, in its online meeting held yesterday, expressed sincere regrets over the actions of Donlad Shylla and unanimously condemns his act of posting questionable and demeaning comments on social media against the Deputy Commissioner of East Khasi Hills, Isawanda Laloo.
The entire Shylla clan expresses sorrow at his actions, which were tantamount to degrading and disrespecting the character and person of the DC, a press release said today, and does not subscribe or support the comments.
The meeting also lauded Laloo for “her dynamic leadership and hard work” in steering the district through the Covid-19 pandemic.
Police yesterday arrested Donlad Shylla on suspicion of making derogatory remarks against the DC in a recent Facebook post. The 38-year-old was picked up in Nongjngi, West Jaintia Hills.
